Great Job everyone on Investiture Night.

Although we got off to a late start, everything went very well. I especially want to say welcome to the three new leaders Eric, Heather & Katie who have all shown such great work and support so far this year. Keep up the good work.

Bottle Drive

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in the Bottle Drive on October 3rd, 09. We raised another healthy amount of funds to support our programs. I was happy with the turn-out considering the weather. Many thanks to the Venturer's who came out and supported the group. A special thanks for those who went out on routes, your cooperation is noted and appreciated.

Committee Meetings.

Upcoming committee meetings are scheduled for Oct 18th & Nov 15th @ 1:30pm at the Commissioner's Residence. Dec 5th, 09 meeting will begin at 4:00pm with a combined meeting/X-Mas Potluck with Silent Santa. All Leaders are welcome to attend this event. Please RSVP to either William or Kerrie-Lea before November 28th, 09 so that we can plan for this event.

Welcome Back to a New Year

On behalf of the entire Scouting Group, Executive Committee and Leadership Teams.

Welcome back everyone, I hope you all have had a restful and relaxing Summer. There have been some positive changes to the Committee this year. Welcome Valerie Mace as our new Registrar, Debbie Exell as our new Treasurer, Kerrie-Lea Pallot as our new Secretary, Rick Hewitt as a new Venturer Advisor to the group. Our Website is developed and running well. All dates are set for our fundraising activities.

I am looking forward to working with you all on another great year of activities. I am positive about the future growth of Ridgewood 195 Scouting Group this year as we progress towards our 30th Anniversary year in 2010.

It's time to dust off the uniform and throw on those Neckers, and have some great adventures with our youth.

Registration

Thank you to all parents who have handed in registration early. Making it alot easier for our register to focus on new enrollment on registation night. Looking forward to a new year with the youth and the new adventures this scouting year will bring.

I am trying to ensure that all parts of the web site are working correctly. If you have the time I would appreciate it if you could leave comments on blog posts for all groups, click on all links and generally put the site through it's paces to iron out any bugs that may be lurking.

Also if anyone has a good photo that reflects 195 Ridgewood that I could use for a header image I would appreciate it. Or any ideas on what would would make a good header; a campsite, a fire, a group shot, etc.
